Harding House

LK Design transformed a 48 year old condo where everything was pink, from the swags and draperies to the carpet and wall paper, to a modern elegant dream loft space. To redesign the condo, it was important to open the space as much as possible. The ceilings were either removed or raised and the kitchen was opened to the living and dining spaces, leaving exposed roof deck, copper vent pipes, electrical cables and HVAC ducting. The condo has a very relaxed slightly industrial look while at the same time feeling a bit formal with a range of nineteenth and early twentieth century furnishings. The inclusion of nineteenth century sideboard and dining room table with early twentieth century works from France and other objects create a beautiful, functional, holistic design. Rich tones and textures create a sense of warmth that underscores the clean modern look of this condo. houzz interior design ideas
